We have implemented enhanced infection control protocols above and beyond the stringent policies we already have in place, created new patient flows to adhere to physical distancing guidelines and procured the necessary protective equipment to keep all of our patients and staff safe.
We will contact you to reschedule your missed appointment, if you did not have an appointment and would like to book one, please give us a call and we will be more than happy to book you in.
Before your next visit, we wanted to highlight to you some of the changes that we have made to further protect your health. Here is the list of new safety protocols put in place:
Before your appointment, we will call you to perform a ‘Pre-Appointment Screening’, for the purpose of determining if you have any COVID-19 symptoms before arriving at the office. You will also receive the screening questions in your email reminder. Covid-19 screening questions will be asked upon arrival.
As you enter our office, you will find a ‘Patient Sanitizing Station’, which includes hand sanitizer.
Before, During & After Your Appointment
Upon arrival, you may wear a mask and hand sanitize when you enter our office. You will be asked covid-19 screening questions.
During the treatment, your hygienist will be wearing the proper PPE (face shield, gown, N95 mask, gloves) the door to the room will be closed and air purifiers with hepa and UV will be running throughout the appointment, along with our HVAC & HRV unit providing fresh air and exhausting the stale air, allowing us to maintain an optimum air quality.
After your treatment you may wear a mask and sanitize your hands. You will be brought to reception if needed for any further requirements. After each appointment, the hygiene room will remain empty to allow settling of the aerosols, staff will clean, disinfect and sterilize the operatory, instruments and all surfaces. Our gowns, scrubs, etc. are all washed and dried onsite using the sanitize setting on both units.
At our reception desk, we’ve installed a plexiglass barrier. Only patients with appointments and one guardian are permitted into the office.
In our waiting room, we’ll leave the minimum number of chairs for seating and ensure they are placed 2 metres (6 feet) apart. Our team will wipe down all surfaces with an approved surface cleaner as well. We have removed all magazines and children’s toys in the waiting area. Our beverage station will only have bottled water at this time.
If at any time, you feel unsure of the new protocols, feel free to ask us about the proper procedures. Signs may also be posted in specific areas to help guide you through the new process.
In addition to these new protocols, our team will continuously self-monitor for any symptoms (fever with either cough or sore throat, or muscle aches) they may experience and will stay home when they are ill.
